Rod rigging service and replacement
Rig
Pro USA service technicians are meticulous in their attention to detail when
servicing rod rigging.
During a full service we remove all rigging, including tip cups and spreader
fittings. Cold heads and stem balls are inspected for proper seating and signs
of wear.
All rod rigging is inspected for wear and cold heads will be measured
and compared to the manufacturer’s specifications.
If requested, dye penetrant
testing is arranged with a local metallurgy firm.
Finally, proper lubrication
is applied during re-assembly to ensure that service in the future will be
possible. This is considered an extra step to some, but is a standard practice
for Rig Pro USA.
