Running rigging service & replacement

Rig Pro USA works with the world’s finest rope makers to supply our customers with the very best products available. We carry a large inventory to enable quick turnaround on large and exotic rope orders.

Due to our long standing relationships with suppliers, we are also able to order custom products and delivery quickly. Rig Pro USA maintains a history of cut sheets for every piece of cordage ever finished here in our shop. These files date back to 1996, and allow us to reproduce rigging for yachts that cannot measure and provide details for an order. We can also use the knowledge gained through these files to correctly specify new cordage for similar yachts. Rig Pro USA can also rely on a staff of riggers that average ten years with the company, and many more in the industry. When it comes to working up a rigging solution, we have the experience to get the job done.

For our race boat customers we primarily work with Maffioli, Marlow, Hampidjan (Dynice DUX), and Yale Cordage for their rope supply. All of these vendors supply the very best products for a certain ‘family’ of cordage. We use all of the up-to-date techniques with Dyneema chafe sleeves, tapered tails, and rope coatings. We continue to rig some of the world’s best IRC and one design race boats showing our prominence in the market. We work with designers and project managers from the beginning of a build and will also refit a yacht that we have worked with for many years.

In the world of superyacht rigging there is very little room for error. This is becoming even more important with the recent rise in superyacht racing. We supply cordage from Gleistein, Maffioli, and Marlow to these yachts.

For our traditional cruising customers, we generally supply an all-white, polyester cover product that will work with their captive winch systems. These lines will feature a tight cover that ensures years of service without causing problems with the winch mechanisms. For customers who race their superyachts and place extremely high loads on their sheets and halyards, we have a selection of high strength cores and covers to choose from. Dyneema SK 90 can be used, as well as heat treating of the fiber to further enhance its strength. A combination of Technora, Kevlar, and Nomex are used in the covers to prevent winch abrasion and burn. We find many of the superyachts which race only a few regattas a year can benefit from an improved cordage package and increase reliability on the race course.
